FURTHER MUSINGS ON THE BODY

Look at your hand. Put your left hand about 6 inches away from your face, and look at your palm. But really look at it, not like "oh that's my hand ok" but like "i am looking at this object in front of me". Ok now do that for ten seconds (or more if you wish). Ok. That's YOU. What? Ok, science may have an answer here: you see, that is you, except what is you? Your mind? One remembers Descartes at this point. But wow, look at that hand. In some way, it's completely foreign to what you REALLY are. You may as well be looking at a screwdriver and claim that that is part of you too (one remembers Spinoza here). Do you get what I'm saying. If you don't, you probably didn't look at your hand right. You must do so DISPASSIONATELY. If you do get what i'm saying think about it.
